Windmill Art Auction
Evansville Community Partnership, Inc. presents “Windmills on Parade” an outdoor art exhibit located on Main Street in Evansville. The Main Street business district will be lined with 17 original art pieces based on windmill structures provided by Dave’s ACE Hardware. The exhibit is now open with seven pieces on display and more being installed weekly through the end of August. This exciting exhibit will remain open as part of the 2nd annual Harvest Windmill festival which takes place on October 2nd through October 4th. The windmill art pieces will be auctioned off on October 4th at 2 pm. 50% of the proceeds will go directly to the participating artists and the remaining amount will go toward the costs of the festival.
This project celebrates Evansville’s history of innovative windmill technology through Baker Manufacturing, recognizes our culturally rich artist community as well as Evansville’s forward thinking perspective on energy initiatives. Windmills on Parade will help create a walk-able downtown, generating interest in visiting and shopping in Evansville.
